RETIREMENT PLANNING

The Three Stages Of Life
Broadly, life’s first stage brings you to the completion of your education; during the second stage you establish career, family and lifestyle; the third stage, typically mid-50′s to mid-80′s, which we prefer to call post-career rather than retirement, is when you are likely to be less restricted and freer in the choices you are able to make. This is potentially the most rewarding phase of all.
The LifePlan3 program supports individuals preparing for this stage of their active lives.Though many executives may prefer to scale back rather than stop work completely, putting that transition into place requires good planning. Thorough preparation is essential, otherwise ‘retirement’ can sneak up on the individual and the organisation.

“You’re facing it. I’ve faced it. If you do
it well, it’s not retiring, it’s re-balancing.”
- Frederick Davidson, Chairman Directioneering
Directioneering Lifeplan3 is a program designed to assist senior executives to realistically assess their material, intellectual and emotional assets. It prepares them and their life-partners for changed relationships with families and associates and for any post-career employment or pro bono work. It assists in material asset planning that goes beyond superannuation and taxation considerations. It also benefits employers in implementing key executive succession plans.
Directioneering Lifeplan3 program is individually tailored to the needs of each participant. It helps them adjust and develop strategies to make the most of all that life offers post full-time employment.
Options can range from immediate retirement to part-time work, directorships, portfolio of paid and pro bono work, more time with family and friends, new learning and recreational pursuits, travel. The range of possibilities is almost endless.
